street view at entry

a design of the office building in sydney olympic park. the concept for this design evolved from metabolist theories that a building made up of cells can be renewed or updated when it becomes obsolete. the solution employs 10 major components for the entire building and uses a mobile gantry crane attached to the facade to assemble and renew the building as required. the architecture becomes a process of evolution that avoids stagnation. the building configuration is guided by the activities within and economy at large, creating a dynamic and flexible space for it’s occupants.
